Caroline Ruhl - Corporate Office

Caroline Ruhl is the CEO and co-owner of Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors. Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors has been serving eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois since 1862, and Caroline is the 4th generation of Ruhl’s to lead the residential brokerage and home services company. Her son Chris Beason is the 5th generation leader and serves as President of Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors and President of NAI Ruhl Commercial Company.

Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors has 280 sales associates, 59 employees, and 10 residential sales offices, including Bettendorf, Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Clinton, Davenport, DeWitt, Dubuque, Iowa City, Muscatine, Iowa; and in Moline, Illinois. Their corporate office is in Davenport. Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors is ranked as Iowa’s largest independent, privately-owned real estate company. NAI Ruhl Commercial has 14 commercial agents and 15 staff members.

Caroline is also in the Mortgage business with Ruhl Mortgage, which has 30 employees, including loan officers, processors, underwriters, and staff. The combined Ruhl entities employ over 400 people. Caroline is also an investor in the Nelson Brothers Insurance Agency.

Prior to associating with Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors in 1980, Caroline was Manager of Employment and Management Development for Rockwell International in Dallas, Texas. She earned her BA from DePauw University and her MBA from SMU in Dallas.

Caroline is a board member of the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley and serves on the Regional Opportunities Council. Prior services include: Past Chairperson of both D-1 and the Chamber Federation and Board of the Quad Cities Chamber, Co-Chairperson and founding member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council, Executive Committee of the board for the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley, Board of Director for Junior Achievement of the Heartland, Greater Davenport Board of Realtors, and Realty Alliance. She previously served on the Brokers Advisory Council for Realtor.com and the Principals Advisory Council to PHH Relocation, now Anywhere Relocation.

Caroline is married to John Thompson. She is the proud mom of two sons – Chris Beason, a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, MN, and now working at Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors as President and co-owner; and John Beason, a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. John is a Sr. Vice President in Agency Leasing with Jones Lang LaSalle in Denver. And she has five beautiful grandchildren, Ella, Caroline, Charlie, Teddy, and Abigail Beason.
